What do I do that makes you feel proud of me and truly appreciate me?
MAYA
When you talk about your work to other people your voice changes. It goes lower and you stop apologising for yourself. I don't think you know you do it. I've never told you that watching you be good at something is what made me fall for you in the first place.
DANIEL
You pick up when your mother calls. Every time. Even when you're wrecked, even when she's being impossible. I couldn't do it and I've watched you do it for nine years.
